I'm actually impressed that a massive platform like WordPress chose to prioritize quality over schedule. While Real-Time Collaboration is certainly an attractive feature, precisely because it's a system supporting hundreds of millions of sites worldwide, it should be implemented carefully without rushing. The fact that the impact on shared hosting environments is still unknown also reflects their cautious approach. Personally, I'm excited about how this feature, once stably released, could make content review with clients much smoother.
